Evans is currently the SA Elite Mens Time Trial champion as well as the SA Marathon MTB Champion.  He is partnering with Alban Lakata this year for the ABSA Cape Epic and together this pairing is hotly tipped as favourites in a race full of talent and world's top MTB riders.

Vision and purpose are often elements that are overlooked in most organisations. One thing that comes across when speaking with Team Owner and previous Argus winner, Douglas Ryder, is that here is a man that is intent on changing the landscape of South African and African cycling.  It is Doug's mission to develop a South African World Champion and this is the very reason Team MTN Energade has registered a men’s UCI Continental Team.  MTN was the first team to ever register a women’s UCI Continental Team in Africa in 2009.

The team is young and dynamic and we have different objectives now with super talented riders that are improving race by race. We are still meeting and exceeding our sponsors requirements so we are on an upward spiral.

Yolande is a human science graduate with 10 years of competitive Mountain bike racing experience. Racing both in SA and internationally she has learnt the value of quality coaching and training.
